SPIED: XUV500 Facelift Shows its New Face & Sunroof

Gradually, new tidbits about the upcoming XUV500 facelift are surfacing over the internet. In another round of spy pics, featured at MotorBeam.com, the new Mahindra’s flagship reveals the presence of a sunroof.

This is surely a welcome addition and is not a common feature in this segment. Apart from that we can notice sharper headlamps, a subdued grille, rounded bonnet and new fog lamps and housing. Also notice the front bumper which is less jazzy. The new face may look more mature from the current version which is flashy and has love-me-hate-me appeal! (We love it though!)

Though the rear of this mule doesn’t run with any significant changes, considering the story of the new Scorpio, Mahindra may eventually make some last-minute changes here as well. Interiors are also definitely getting some refreshments.

On the mechanical front, the new XUV500 facelift will continue with the same 2.2 liter mHawk engine with some tweaks. Currently it produces 140PS of power and 330Nm of torque. There will also be an introduction of an automatic transmission on the same engine and according to an earlier report, power may get a bump of as much as 30-40 odd hp.
