Maruti’s biggest gamble in the recent times, the Ciaz mid-size sedan has been clocking some real good figures at the moment, and is posing a threat to the segment leaders City and Verna.
As we await the top of the line Z+ trim, it appears that Maruti Suzuki is also preparing a sportier version of Ciaz which has been snapped by the guys at Gaadiwaadi.com.
The pictured car carries side skirts, spoilers, diffusers and a different colored rear. We are not sure if it looks good or not but that’s Maruti’s creativity at work.
The sporty version will get the same 16 inch alloy wheels from the top trim but this time round it gets a dull grey coloured matte finish look. Now’s that’s aesthetically enticing. There may be more features on offer like SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with integrated GPS navigation and Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in and CD/MP3. The interiors are also expected to get some upgrades like better upholstery etc and if you are lucky enough a few pillows may also come as an additional extra.
And if you think there could be some performance upgrades on offer to justify the ‘RS’ (Rally Sports) tag (if it will be called that), cull your thoughts because going by history, this has never happened!
Maruti may also consider offering the RS as a package at an additional cost to all the buyers of Ciaz as well.
