Spotted: Mahindra Verito Vibe Reaches Dealership; Launch on 5th June

Mahindra’s second (or let’s say third if we include E2O here) attempt at the mainstream car segment is here and its called the Vibe! Basically it is a chopped and forcefully-shortened-to-sub-4-meters version of the regular Verito.

This will give Mahindra a chance to play in the hatchback segment as well as in the compact sedan segment. We are in a grave confusion whether Mahindra will promote it as a hatch or a compact sedan though! Pictured here is a shot of the Verito Vibe from some dealership with the hidden ‘Vibe’ badge.

Yes, this simply means that the car has started reaching dealerships prior to its official launch on the 5th of June. Vibe will only be available in diesel versions as currently Mahindra doesn’t have any sub 1.2L petrol engine to adhere to the ‘Small Car’ classification of excise duties.

Vibe will be powered by the same 1.5L diesel engine from Verito sedan which is sourced from Renault. Vibe will bank upon its engine driveability, basic characteristics, fuel efficiency and most importantly, the interior space. Add to that the expected luring price tag which will ensure this car appeals to the ‘practical’ seekers out there in the market.

So, will you buy Vibe over Amaze, Swift or Dzire?
