Korean auto major Ssangyong which is now a Mahindra company showcased the new facelifted version of its Rexton – the Rexton W in Moscow which made its first appearance at the Busan Auto Show a few months back.
The new Rexton W not only makes a decade of difference to the Rexton brand in terms of contemporary and ravishing looks, the addition of different powerplants make things more interesting. The new Rexton is sleeker, looks more upmarket and possesses those big bulky SUV looks. There are big changes to the exteriors of the car in the form of a completely changed front fascia, better flowing lines and a reworked rear.
The interiors are also modernized and brought to today’s terms. Ssangyong would be offering 2.7L 165PS & 186PS and 3.2L V6 220HP engine options in Russia. In other markets, there would also be a smaller 2.0L 155PS diesel engine. Transmission duties would be performed by a 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic gearboxes.
Rexton for India
If you are unaware, Mahindra is planning to launch the Rexton in India too. After a long time of expecting the older old-school Rexton in India which was caught a few times in India, a few days earlier the latest new Rexton W facelift was spied on Indian soil.
