Hyundai’s premium hatchback Elite i20 has emerged as the winner of the Bloomberg TV India Autocar India Awards as the Jury’s Choice Car of the Year. The car had also emerged as the winner of the recently announced ICOTY awards. The felicitation ceremony was graced by Mr Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping.

So it’s the Hyundai Elite i20 ladies and gentlemen that has been adjudged the best car of the year by the ICOTY (Indian Car Of The Year) jury in Mumbai yesterday. And this Hyundai managed that amidst some really ‘elite’ competition in the form of the new Honda City and Maruti Suzuki’s latest flagship, the Ciaz!
Of course, other than these three, there were many other contenders battling it out to claim the top spot in the most prestigious of awards of the Indian automobile industry. The nominated cars were judged on various parameters such as price, fuel economy, styling, comfort, safety, performance, practicality, technical innovation, value for money and suitability for Indian driving conditions.

Hyundai’s new premium hatchback Elite i20 has been a great hit in the market right since the day of its launch. Launched on August 11, 2014, it has barely spent four months in dealerships and has already garnered more than 56,000 bookings according to a release from the company.
