Toyota Etios will be discontinued in Brazil if a report on autonetmagz.com is to be believed. It’s said that the company has cited ‘poor sales’ as the reason behind it but has also added that the next-gen all-new Etios will be launched in Brazil in 2016.
The blog mentions that the car managed to sell one lakh units of the car in 20 months whereas the rivals’ sales generally reach 1,22,000 in just twelve months. In Brazil, this Toyota competes with Hyundai HB20 and Chevrolet Onix. The report identifies the Toyota’s lacklustre interiors and subdued exterior as the main reasons for its unpopularity.
