While a mini-Evoque from Tata Motors remains a distant dream, it’s Hyundai that would be launching its ix25 by middle of 2015 according to Overdrive. The compact SUV has already been spied testing on Indian roads barely a few days back and the company is using Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster as benchmarks which is obvious.
After creating a big stir in the market with the latest Grand i10 and Xcent, Hyundai’s next shot is aimed at the burgeoning compact SUV segment. It is known and understood that the ix25 compact SUV which has been recently unveiled internationally will be Hyundai’s answer to our Dusters and Terranos here in India.
The South Korea based auto major, Hyundai, unveiled the ix25 compact SUV at the Beijing Motor Show and the first market it will be released in will be China. The compact crossover will be a Renault Duster rival and may intrude into the upcoming S-Cross territory which is speculated to come at a premium.
