Crash Tests Will Become Mandatory from 1st Oct 2017 for New Cars

In a much awaited move by the government, crash tests of new vehicles will be made compulsory from October 1, 2017 in India. A Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises has even said that all test facilities for conducting these crash tests should be ready without fail by December next year.

GNCAP’s Head Mosley to Take Datsun Go Matter to Japanese PM

Datsun Go seems to be set for some more trouble. Max Mosley, the Chief of Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Programme) may soon be writing to the recently re-elected Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, in January about the appeal which GNCAP had made to Datsun’s parent company Nissan which urged them to withdraw the Go from all the countries where it is sold, including India.
