So, there you go! The first sneaking bits of the 7-seat WagonR coming to India are here. In a report published at Economic Times, it has been reported that Maruti Suzuki has floated proposals to its vendors and suppliers for a compact MPV under Ertiga.
We told you earlier, in March, this year about the 7-seater Wagon R that was displayed by Suzuki Indonesia at the IIMS Indonesia 2013. The stretched Suzuki will have a third row of seats at the rear, which, like in the Datsun GO+, seems best-suited only for kids – the agile ones, and not those who thrive on Maharaja Macs…
To take on newly introduced entry-level MPVs like the Datsun GO+, Suzuki will introduce its own product in that segment. It will be a three-row, seven seater version of the WagonR.
In a surprising development, it appears that Suzuki is pondering over the option of a low-cost MPV at the entry level. At the IIMS -2013 at Jakarta, Suzuki has showcased a concept version of 7 seater MPV based on Wagon R- ‘Suzuki Wagon R Concept 3 Rows’.
