Tata group along with France’s Dassault Systemes is developing an electric car expected to be in the price segment below USD 20,000 ie around 10 lakh to 11 lakh INR.
Tata Technologies has completed its first electric Mobility study using Dassault Systemes’ 3DEXPERIENCE Platform, demonstrating the feasibility of developing an electric car at an attractive price.
The launch date and the overall investment for this product development is not revealed by the company yet.
Tata Motors had announced that it was developing electric variant of its hatchback Indica with a Norwegian firm for launching it in British, Norwegian and Danish markets by 2011 but its not done yet.
