Tata Motors has understood that the best way to retain or grow market share and business as a whole is to spread wings as far and wide as possible. Apart from their passenger division, the commercial vehicle division is also busy expanding its international footprint.

They have launched the new Ultra range of light and intermediate commercial trucks in Sri Lanka. The launch is in collaboration with Tata’s official importer in Sri Lanka, Diesel and Motors Engineering PLC.

It has the strongest chassis in its class with features like lockable glove box, mobile charging points, bottle holders and optional air conditioning. The parabolic suspension claim for increased comfort and houses industry first head lamps and tail lamps with integrated LEDs. The trucks get radial tires for increasing the usability and a 45 degree tiltable cabin.

Tata-Ultra-912-Launch

The company has initially launched three trucks, Ultra 612, Ultra 812 and Ultra 912, which have a GVW of 6T, 8T and 9T respectively. They are available in different body lengths which include 14, 17 and 20 foot. They will come in different payloads ranging between 2.5 to 6 tonnes.
