Tata Motors to Launch 6 New Models in The Coming Year

October 17 was a day when India saw the launch of two important launches, the Tata Safari Storme and Mahindra SsangYong Rexton.

We covered the Safari Storme launch event live from the venue. At the launch event, MD of Tata Motors, Mr. Karl Slym told that the company will focus at the volume segments which contributes the most to the company’s sales. He also said that Tata Motors will continue to bring new products in the fast-growing SUV segment.

Karl Slym recently joined Tata from GM and has been on his way to bring a new lease of life for Tata Motors. In the coming year, we can expect 6 new offerings. This would include brand new models as well as a few refreshed variants of existing models.

Now that’s something! Six new models from Tata Motors, focused for the volume segment! This is mainly to hold on to the position of the 3rd Largest Passenger Car Manufacturer of India. Presently, Maruti Suzuki holds the first position, the second position rests with Hyundai Motor and there’s tough battle between Mahindra and Tata Motors for the Third spot.

Karl also confirmed Tata Nano’s international foray into US and UK in 3 years which might be either through CBU or CKD or probably both of them. So, what we know for sure is that Tata is launching the eagerly awaited Nano diesel in India next year. What could be the remaining models?

Interesting!
