Xclusive: Tata to Launch a Limited Edition Safari Storme Based on TV Series ’24’

Tata Safari Storme, which was planned for a 2007 launch, is Tata’s best attempt at the market in the recent times. However, after its initial hype, sales are tapering off at a rapid pace.

To bring back Storme in the news, Tata launched a special edition of the car – Safari Storme Explorer Edition which carried some tidbits here and there but some better graphics to go with the car. Explorer Edition is a regular Edition of Storme inducted in the line-up.

Tata has been promoting Safari Storme in the market online and on television. It is the sponsor of the ’24’ Television Show which stars Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and is aired on Colors television channel. The program has been received well and has been garnering a lot of viewership and you can see Tata’s Safari Stormes being used extensively.

Now, according to one of our sources, Tata is all set to launch a limited edition of Safari Storme based on the serial 24. Unlike Explorer Edition, this one will be limited to a few unit sales, possibly a few hundred or so. Though, we do not have the list of the features and/or changes the limited edition ’24’ based Safari Storme will come along with, it is expected to be priced slightly over the Explorer Edition which comes at Rs 10.86 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
