SPIED: Tata Vista Facelift Caught Picnicing at McDonalds; Comes With Driver Side Instrument Cluster

It seems that Tata is testing the 2014 Vista facelift extensively, but unfortunately (for us) all covered! It has been spied from cities busy roads to village-type of kuccha roads to race tracks!

And now, one of our avid reader Rishabh spies the New Vista having lunch at McDonalds! Actually, Rishabh caught the mule leaving a McDonald’s outlet in Pune. Apart from what we have already talked about, the biggest revelation we share is the presence of the proper driver side instrument console on this mule.

For starters, the current-gen Vista has a centrally mounted instrument panel for reasons best known to Tata! After a lot of hue and cry, Tata brought the instrument cluster to its proper driver side position in the more powerful Vista D90 which carries the 90PS version of 1.3L Quadrajet diesel engine.

Now, there is a possibility that this mule might be the facelifted D90 version of the upcoming Vista, but we just get the feeling that someone at Tata has understood the faux pas and all the variants of new Vista facelift will come with proper driver side instrument console! They really should!

Its plain dumb reasoning and logic to put the instrument console centrally. It should always be driver side mounted on all the cars in the universe!

Moving away from the console, New Vista facelift will come with a refreshed front and rear and more importantly should introduce the CR4 diesel engine instead of the BS3-Only TDI motor which has been spied testing on our roads exclusively by MotorBash. (Check Spy pics here)

The Vista facelift is a definite Auto Expo unveiling contender and a launch thereafter is what we see on the cards. Tata has promised a lot of betterment to the overall quality of their upcoming cars and we would really expect the upcoming Vista to showcase company’s potential…
