Innovative: Tata Sends a Zest Key to Everyone in New Promo; There is a Contest Too

Tata Zest, after a long wait has finally been launched and is expected to be doing rather well. ‘Expected’ because Tata has not shared any official booking or sales numbers with the media yet.

Nonetheless, the company is not looking just at the success of the product but a larger picture including the turn around of the image its cars are labelled as!

One of the ways it can be achieved is ensuring their ‘quality product’ Zest reaches as many homes as possible which can spread the positive word of mouth about the changing new Tata! And in a bid to promote the car, the company is doing all it can.

Tata is channeling all its energy to market the Zest and with some innovative ideas. One interesting promo caught my eye when I was about to pick today’s Times of India. In a special pull-out with the newspaper Tata has attached a ‘Key’ and talked about the various features of the Zest along with a contest which is open in select cities.

The participants will have to carry the key attached with the newspaper to the nearest Tata Motors authorized showroom and test drive the new Zest. The key has a unique bar code attached to it, which will be scanned at the dealership. The participant will have to take a test drive of the Zest and after the drive they will have to submit their details via a special android application available with the dealership employees.

The contestants will have to keep the key safely till the contest is over. Seven lucky winners will be selected who would win a brand new Zest (base model) as a prize. At the time of announcing the winners, the selected winners will have to produce the key to claim the prize, as a proof of participation in the contest.

The participant will have to hold a valid driving license which has a validity for the next two years. The contest is open from 8AM August 26, 2014 to 8PM September 5, 2014. Winners will be announced a week after the contest is over at Zest’s official site.

This contest is however not applicable in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Forget the contest but we really liked the way Tata is getting aggressive in the market and we do hope the Zest comes out as a quality product from the company as has been promised…
