The next talk of the tinsel town, Ford EcoSport has been caught again by a Team-Bhp member Drvsafe at some office parking in Chennai. But this time the spyshots reveal the compact SUV’s dimensions against a myriad of cars from different sizes and segments.
The model caught here is yet again a yellow colored mule which, from the badging confirms that it is the top of the line Titanium variant of TDCI diesel.
The first point to note here is how minuscule EcoSport looks against the Xylo parked a couple of cars to the left. EcoSport looks obviously higher but thinner than Polo and Swift. But from the limited view from front, EcoSport looks a lot beefier and has a more pronounced look to it. With crossover credentials, these pics talk more about EcoSport’s grown up hatchback footprints.
Interestingly, in the lone interior shot, the interior trims are different from what Ford is showcasing in their petrol EcoSport Titanium variants across the major malls of important cities of India. It appears to be a combo of grey and black with audio controls at steering, manual gear stick, driver hand rest among other bits. There is also a black colored wire that is running across and might be connected to some testing equipment.
Ford has confirmed that Indian EcoSport will get two engine options 1.5L TCDI diesel and 1.0L Ecoboost petrol with manual gearboxes and the third 1.5L petrol motor from Fiesta for the Automatic transmission variant. Ford is promoting EcoSport very aggressively and the launch is scheduled sometime in June.
