The country’s largest selling MPV, Innova has been ruling the segment despite being an old product. The introduction of its second generation model in Indonesia has almost confirmed that the new-gen model will hit India but various reports have suggested that it may not be very soon.
Yesterday, at a press conference in Delhi, however, we have got a confirmation from Toyota India that the new Innova will be making an appearance at the Auto Expo in February.
Innova is their best selling brand in India and has has been bringing home the bacon for them ever since its initial days. The new generation model not just brings in a more premium car with freshened exteriors and interiors but will also see the introduction of the new 2.4 litre GD diesel mill.
Here’s what a senior member of Toyota India management had to say:
“Innova has been the bread and butter of Toyota India, very well accepted and appreciated by our customers. In the Delhi Auto Expo it is coming in February where it will be displayed.”

He also confirmed that the launch of the new Innova will happen before the new Fortuner. In fact, the new Fortuner is still a good time away and can be expected to be launched in India only in 2017 which does seem a bit late considering the fact that its global unveil happened way back in July 2015.
