Tata Motors is in its final stages of preparation for the launch of their compact sedan Zest. The car was snapped again in Mumbai by a Team-BHP forum member amolbh and was devoid of that traditional camouflage. Instead it wore promotion livery with ‘Zest’ written on it.
The car appears to be production ready and is back with those stylish, futuristic looking projector headlamps, however with the same grille.
Tata is really optimistic about both Zest and Bolt and has chalked out an exhaustive and comprehensive promotional strategy to take the new cars as wide as possible. The car was present at the recently concluded IIFA awards in Florida, where it did manage to gain a few eyeballs! The company has also launched a Facebook application which goes by the name zestorbolt, which is basically a quiz which analyses your personality via a series of questions and tells you which car suits you more, the Zest or the Bolt.
Zest is going to be the first in the series of cars by which Tata Motors is aiming to repair its ailing fortunes. The company has been in red in the domestic market for a long time now, but hopes that these two new cars would propel it out in the green again.
Zest will be available with a new 1.2L Revotron turbocharged petrol engine and the 1.3L multijet diesel (sourced from Fiat). Apart from the regular 5-speed transmission, Zest will also get the Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) that too on the diesel engine, making it the cheapest automatic diesel sedan in the country.
Tata is leaving no stone unturned to make these new products a success. They are upgrading the dealerships to be ready for the Zest and Bolt siblings. And in an exclusive report we have shared, Zest and Bolt will be launched on or before the 4th of July in India. And it (Zest) will get segment best 3 years and 75,000 kms warranty.
