Volvo Goes Offensive; To Announce Brand Ambassador on 8 April

Volvo has all plans to go on an offensive in the Indian luxury car market. The Swedish manufacturer is planning to enter the volume segment. 

Towards the start of this year, Volvo has revealed that they are considering opening up a plant here in India. And close upon the heels of launching their most affordable car in India – V40 Cross Country, the company has appointed a brand ambassador for India. Who will it be, will be announced in an official announcement on 8th of April in an event in Delhi.

BMW appointed Sachin Tendulkar and Diya Mirza as its brand ambassadors in India. Audi also has many celebrities who endorse the German brand.

The upcoming launch from the company, V40 Cross Country is almost all set to hit the showrooms and will compete with BMW X1 and Audi Q3 in the Indian market. The company has set a target to sell 20,000 units by 2020 and intends to become one among the top 3 luxury manufacturers in India.
