And we have also noticed that Mahindra’s XUV500 is also making it to the headlines quite often these days! Here is a new feat XUV500 has achieved and Mahindra seems to be ecstatic about it.
XUV500 has set a new benchmark for the quickest Kanyakumari to Kashmir journey. A team of four members from Standard Chartered Bank lead by Zuzur Tinwalla and others, started off from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu on 30th September and reached Leh in Jammu & Kashmir on 3rd October after having covered the entire length of the country.
In the process, XUV500 covered a total of 3997kms in a span of only 62 hours and 20 minutes registering itself as the Fastest South-North Four-Wheeler Expedition in Limca Book of Records and beating the earlier record by a huge 10 hours and 27 minutes.
Mr Vivek Nayar, Chief Marketing Officer of the Automotive Division of Mahindra sounded elated and said that this feat by XUV500 reaffirms their SUV’s rugged DNA and has proved its mettle through the tough and gruelling conditions in several rallies apart from this. Reportedly, there was not even a single breakdown and the team completed the journey safely.
Recently Mahindra has also carried out some updates on their car and have reportedly made it more niggle-free.
