According to a source Tata was slated to launch their Zest within the first week of July as we have shared earlier. However, due to unknown and untold reasons, the launch of the compact sedan has been delayed but not by much!
Zest is scheduled for a launch within this month most probably by the third or fourth week of July. Meanwhile, the car will reach dealerships for display, promotion, marketing and possibly test drives. Bookings will also begin and Tata has high hopes that it will be a blockbuster.
Deliveries will begin from 15th August and Tata is eyeing the patriotic day for a massive delivery of 10,000 odd vehicles through its 250+ dealerships all across the nation. As you already know, a major chunk of dealerships have been revamped by Tata to make way for the new Zest and Bolt.
The dealerships have already roped in new workforce which would work exclusively on promoting and selling the Zest and Bolt siblings using the latest technology.
Though there is not really a confirmation but it appears that Bolt may NOT be launched along with Zest and may come later. The reason for this is that the company (correctly) thinks that people may feel that the Bolt is just the new Vista and this may affect Zest’s sales.
The company feels that they have the product(s) which can change their fortunes and they just want to ensure everything is correctly placed before they announce its official arrival! They are promoting the car at the various high footfall areas of big cities with ‘Zest’ camouflage, a recent specimen of which was spotted at Brigade Road in Bangalore by one of our reader (below).
10,000 is a huge number and it just shows how hopeful Tata is of their product which is slated to become the cheapest Automatic (AMT) diesel sedan in the country.
