Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, perhaps the most ‘talked about’ small car of recent times, has managed to bag 6,500 bookings within just a fortnight of the opening of its booking.
What makes it more astonishing is, Maruti Suzuki hasn’t yet launched this car officially and people do not know the pricing of the car yet. [Check tech specs and interior Spy Pics]
This car will be launched officially on the 16th of October which is only 1 day and 19 hours away from the time we are writing this post. Without even knowing about the price of the car, it seems, the potential customers have been put to attraction. With its fresher looks, better features, an outstanding mileage of 22.74 kmpl, Alto 800 is sure to give a tough fight to Hyundai’s Eon.
Mr. Mayank Pareek, Chief Operating Officer, Maruti Suzuki India comments, “Despite the price remaining unknown to customers, who have not seen the car fully, we have received 6,500 bookings of the new Alto. At this rate, we are confident that it will cross 10,000 when we launch the car on October 16”.
The official website has already started countdown for the launch and so have we! It’s not just the number of bookings Alto 800 which is eye-popping but also the number of visitors at the teaser site. It has attracted more than 3.4 Lakh visitors!
We expect Maruti to price this car in the range of 2.6 to 3.2 Lakh. Stay tuned for more info from the launch event on 16th October.
