Pune based Mahindra Navistar trucks, a joint venture between Mahindra of India and International Truck & Engine Corporation of USA, is preparing to penetrate deep into the Indian market.
Despite a slow start, they have aspirational plans for the future. We spotted this 25 Tonne truck ‘ON TEST’ near its plant in Chakan in Pune. Because of no badging on the truck, we are guessing that this is the MN25 TIPPER CH model.
The current MN25 is powered by a MAXXFORCE 7.2 TCIC BS III diesel engine which is capable of producing 210hp of power and has 6 forward- 1 reverse gearbox.
The new MN25 Tipper CH would get a MAXXFORCE 6.12 TCE 7.2 litre TCIC BS III CRDi diesel engine which would belt out 260hp of power and 960Nm of torque. Transmission duties would be performed by a 9 forward – 1 reverse gearbox.
With the ever increasing competition in the Indian truck market we are seeing more and more players and always bettering products.
