14th Aug: In a brand new update, Mahindra, which is heavily promoting their upcoming TUV300, has shared its official launch date. TUV300 will go on sale in India on 10th of September and in the same mail, they have shared a teaser pic of the upcoming compact SUV.
TUV will be produced at Mahindra’s Chakan plant and is based on an all-new platform. As confirmed earlier, it carries an mHAWK80 engine, where 80 most probably signifies its power output from the reworked 1.5 liter motor of the Quanto. The sub 4 meter compact SUV comes shod with 17 inch 235/65 rubber most probably for the top model. Lesser variants may get smaller tyres.
The alloy wheels look decent and the tyres on this pic are the Ceat Czar highway terrain. The front appears aggressive and the overall stance is impressive and flatter. Interestingly, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of cladding, in fact none, which is against what Mahindra is known for.

From one earlier spotting, it is known that TUV will be a 5+2 seater like Quanto and let us hope the two jump seats at the rear are more meaningful this time. So folks, 10th September is the date again, when Mahindra will try to make a comeback with a new product. After this they have the S101 micro SUV scheduled for launch which, we believe, will also happen this year.
