Days Before Official Launch, Figo Spotted at Dealership

Ford’s upcoming Figo hatchback facelift is slated to launch on September 23, 2015. Ahead of that, it seems the company has already started dispatches to dealerships. A MotorBash reader and friend who prefers to remain anonymous has sent us these pictures of the top end variant of the upcoming car from a dealership in Hyderabad.

The Figo hatchback gets a similar design style as that of its compact sedan version sans a few obvious differences. The front nose of the car is slightly more pointed than that of the Aspire but the fog lamp enclosure and the front bumper design remains the same. The side fenders too get the same look and feel but bears a slightly more prominent lines on the doors although that might just be a trick played by the camera. The alloys too are the same, which we do not like!

The rear profile is where you would notice most of the differences. Gone is the third box which gets replaced by a prominent kink on the tail gate. The tail lamps too have been slightly re-designed to get a more wraparound kind of look. It also gets a roof mounted spoiler to add a wee bit of sportiness to the rear…

Set to be the second product built in their swanky new factory in Sanand, the Figo hatchback is expected to carry over the 1.2 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engines from the Aspire, however, they may be detuned for distinction. Ford also has a more powerful 1.5 litre petrol mill which also gets a 6 speed DCT gearbox but the company has not confirmed plans of launching it here.
