I should think this is the first-time in India that it’s happening. It has been almost two weeks that the pomp and glamour displayed at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014 has been removed, wrapped up and returned to their respective places, but the Ford stall; erected at the 12th Edition of the Expo could still be seen and enjoyed; courtesy 3D virtual reality.
Ford plans to recreate the visuals and excitement of the Expo with ‘Ford Time Machine, as it’s been called by the company. Ford plans to install a 3D virtual reality booth in six cities across the country to enable customers to experience their Auto Expo pavilion. The users will experience a 360°,virtual walk through of the Ford Pavilion through 3D glasses. A user wearing 3D glasses can also change the perspective by changing positions.
The Ford pavilion at the Expo, among other cars, had the all-new Figo Concept Compact Sedan and the new 2014 Ford Fiesta. The B segment Ford Figo Concept was among the centre pieces at the stall and was one of the most exciting concepts at the auto show. The new Ford Fiesta comes with a new, bolder design and more advanced features.
For those who couldn’t make it to the Expo, this initiative will give them the chance to experience it by virtually bringing the Ford Expo stall to their cities.

- Mumbai: Infinity Mall, Malad February 22 and 23
- Lucknow: Saharaganj Mall February 22 and 23
- Surat: VR Surat Mall March 01 and 02 (*confirmation pending)
- Guwahati: Hub Mall March 01 – 02
- Bangalore: Garuda Mall March 08 to 09
- Chennai: Express Avenue Mall March 15 and 16
