Here Comes the First Pic of Honda Amaze I-DTEC Diesel

We have a flurry of spyshots of the new upcoming Honda Amaze confirming that the car has reached (at least) the major dealerships of India.

But what was interesting to note was the fact that all the pics sneaking in were the I-VTEC petrol variants and no pic confirmed the presence of the most awaited diesel, hence, creating a little doubt if the diesel’s launch might get delayed. However, we have a couple of confirmed spottings of I-DTEC badged Amaze.

The first obviously is this pic which is shared at Team-Bhp. And another confirmation came in from one of our reader who claims he has seen the I-DTEC badged Amaze at a dealership in Kolkata.

Apart from this blue colored Amaze, there are other shots of regular I-VTEC Amaze as well which you can see below. We will just do a quick recap of Amaze for all our readers who have joined in just now.

Amaze will become the first car from Honda in India to be offered with a diesel engine. The 1.5L I-DTEC diesel engine is carved from the bigger 1.6L I-DTEC and is India specific. Amaze is the compact sedan version of Brio with a boot and will go head on against Dzire. It will be sub 4 meter in length and will enjoy the least excise duties of 12%. It produces 100PS of power and 200Nm of torque and will come with a phenomenal ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 25.8kmpl. Launch is slated for 11 April at a price slightly over Dzire.
