There have been a few rumors on the Indian auto portals about a possible delay in launch of Hyundai’s Next-Gen Santa Fe in India. However, its test mules continue their testing putting a question mark about the delay.
These new spyshots shared by Motor Vikatan at their facebook page of the new Hyundai Santa Fe are taken at some parking and reveal that the SUV is white in color. This is the same mule which has been caught earlier as well, that time in motion.
There is an interesting question which remains unanswered for now. Which variant will we, Indians get! In international markets the New Santa Fe is offered in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. Obviously, as with the other SUVs in its segment and Indians penchant towards those 2 extra seats, it makes immense sense for the Korean manufacturer to launch the 7-seater version.
We expect that the next-gen Santa Fe will get the current 2.2L diesel motor which can produce 194bhp of power and a massive 422Nm of torque. Considering that this is new model, a few tweaks to the powertrain can be expected. If Hyundai can price Santa Fe competitively, it appears to have all the ingredients of a successful model here.
