Honda’s Amaze is the next big thing in the Indian automobile space. What makes it of immense importance is the fact that it will bring Honda’s diesel technology to India.
Amaze will be powered by Honda’s 1.5L I-DTEC diesel engine which is powered by EarthDreams technology. Depicting the brilliance of this green technology, Honda Amaze will produce 100PS of power and 200Nm of torque with an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of whooping 25.8 kmpl.
Just a couple of days back we shared with you the first ever production spec I-DTEC diesel Amaze and here are a few pics posted by a Team-Bhp member depicting the car in different colors. We have Amaze in blue, dark red, white and silver color here. The dark red color looks to be a higher variant considering the presence of fog lamps and ORVM integrated side blinkers. These cars were reportedly spotted at a dealership in NCR region.
Apart from the 1.5L I-DTEC diesel, Amaze will also be available in 1.2L I-VTEC motor from Brio hatch and Honda will also provide an option of Automatic transmission on this mill. These spottings confirm that Honda is stocking a lot of Amaze sedans at dealerships before its official launch on 11 April to take advantage of the initial hype that has been created.
This is definitely a sign of aggression with which Honda plans to take on Maruti Dzire and others. Pricing details are not known yet but according to our calculations a price just over Dzire will do wonders for this car.
