After opening the biggest dealership in Ahmedabad, Audi is now all set to put their foot in pre-owned car business in India.
The Volkswagen Group owned German auto major calls this program as ‘Audi Approved Plus’.
These Audi Approved Plus dealerships would be setup around the exiting authorized dealerships to provide maximum footfall and save on the costs of setting up a new showroom. Expect 8 to 10 used Audi’s which might age around 4 to 5 years in every Audi Approved Plus Dealership. It is expected that these pre-worshipped cars could go as low as 60% of the cost of the new car or probably even lesser.
This initiative is close on the heels of Volkswagen launching its own pre-owned car business Das WeltAuto. This initiative might also help retain a few customers who might be put off by Audi’s price hike announcement which would be effective from 1st Jan.
