MotorBash was the first online publication which featured spyshots of Fiat Avventura after the Auto Expo’s unveiling in March 2014. And, with frequent spottings thereafter, it begins to get clear that the Fiat’s crossover hatch Avventura is finally getting closer to its launch.
Barely a few days back, we had seen an uncamouflaged mule’s front which revealed what all would make it to production from the concept that was showcased at the Auto Expo in February.
In an update to this, we share with you new spyshots which reveal at least a couple of new bits including the interiors. Snapped by one of our readers, Savio, somewhere in Pune, this mule continues to show off its best visual crossover trait – the exposed rear mounted spare wheel.
Apart from that here is a list of bits it is carrying forward:
Though the sides are camouflaged but the heavy cladding is clearly visible and this confirms that Fiat will take it to production.
And what it is not carrying forward…
Now, let us sneak inside this mule to understand if there are any gross changes. In these exclusive shots, we can notice that…
Another important pointer to note here is the front headlamp which doesn’t sport Projectors. Going by the kit of this mule, it appears to be a fairly higher model and add to this, that no test mule has been snapped with projectors till now. This makes us question – Will the production Avventura get one?
In terms of engines, according to Fiat’s confirmation, Avventura will be powered by 1.3L Multijet diesel engine (most probably in 90PS VGT Trim) and against the expectations of many, it will not get the turbocharged 1.4L motor from T-Jet. Instead, it will be powered by the regular Naturally Aspirated 1.4L engine from Punto and Linea Classic. Launch is expected before September this year.
