At an event in Delhi, Nissan has launched their first ever Datsun branded car in India – Go. We need not introduce the Go hatch to you considering that we have been talking about it extensively in the last few days.
And without much ado, let us talk about the car in detail:
- Datsun brand was first unveiled in India back in July last year.
- Datsun Go will be available in three variants with the base variant split into two
- Bookings are already open and the deliveries start from today
- Go will be available in 4 colour options and 2 interior trims
- Go is based on the Nissan Micra platform and hence it is almost as spacious and well built.
- Despite its size, Datsun Go is positioned against Hyundai Eon, Alto 800 and Alto K10.
- It is being locally manufactured and it is almost completely localized.
- For the time being, all Datsun Go cars will be sold through Nissan’s dealerships.
- We have driven the car extensively and are mighty impressed with it.

Datsun Go Engine:
Datsun Go comes equipped with a little detuned version of the same 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine which does duty on the Micra. It produces 68PS of power and 104Nm of torque.
Datsun Go Fuel Efficiency
Datsun Go is rated at an ARAI rated fuel efficiency of 20.63kmpl which is just under Eon.
Datsun Go Warranty:
Datsun Go comes with 2 years unlimited kilometres warranty. Customer has an option of extending it to another couple of years which is also applicable to unlimited kilometres mileage. In addition you also get complementary roadside assistance.

When shall we expect Diesel version at Delhi on what price Tag ?
There are no plans of launching a diesel at this moment.
At auto expo this was cleared 7 models will hit Indian roads including diesel version
Nop.
Datsun has always said that in India they have plans to launch 3 models – Go, G0+ MPV are confirmed. Third model is speculated to be I2 which is an even smaller car than Go.
