It’s been less than 20 days since Renault launched the Kwid at a shocking price tag and the manufacturer has already garnered more than 25,000 bookings. Setting new benchmarks in terms of features, looks and affordability, the French automaker has clocked a major milestone and in fact, at some dealerships in Delhi, the waiting period stretches to as much as 3 months already!
The tremendous response has been really encouraging in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities with thousands of inquiries and bookings with deliveries for the car expected to start sometime next week.

Renault Kwid has a starting price of Rs 2.56 lakhs and goes up to Rs 3.53 lakhs for the top end model (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) thanks to its 98 percent high localisation levels. The three cylinder 799 cc petrol mill produces 54 PS of maximum power at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of peak torque at 4,386 rpm. With a fuel efficiency of 25.17 kmpl Kwid is the most fuel efficient petrol car in the country.
Renault claims a very low (lower than Altos) cost of ownership and offers a 50,000 km or 2 year maintenance scheme which can be extended to 80,000 km or 4 years.
