The Shanghai Auto Show marked the debut of the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce in Asia. The Superveloce was unveiled first at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and deliveries are expected to start later this year. The company further declared that the Aventador Superveloce will be limited to just 600 units.
This is just the fourth model in the history of Lamborghini to flaunt the Superveloce tag after Miura, Diablo and Murcielago. The Aventador SV uses some very efficient weight saving techniques to further reduce the weight by 50 kilos (now weighs 1,525 kg dry). The carbon fibre overdose and the new aero package (which helps kick in more downforce and not let the car fly away to Mars) help it attain a great power to weight ratio.
The engine too has been tuned up a notch. The V12 6.5 litre engine now churns out a mind-boggling 750.5 PS of maximum power at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The car itself can propel from 0 to 100 kmph in just 2.8 second, that’s 0.1 second faster than the Veneno roadster!
The Aventador Superveloce boasts of a top speed of 350 kmph. 200 kmph comes in 8.6 second while the speedo reads 300 kmph in 24 second only.
2015 marks Lamborghini’s 10 years in the Chinese market and the Italian bull-makers know that developing markets like China are one of its biggest markets. They also showcased the Huracan and Aventador Pirelli Edition.
