When it comes to intercity transportation, staff transportation or school busses, Tata is quite a familiar name. Now the company has come up with a whole new line-up of world-class busses.
This line-up includes Luxury, semi-deluxe and the conventional buses. At the SIAM International Bus & Utility Vehicles Show, at Greater Noida, Tata Motors showcased this new line-up of luxury coaches, Divo Coach, Semi Deluxe Starbus Ultra Contract Bus, the all new Starbus Ultra for school application and an ambulance based on the Tata Venture platform.
Built on time-tested LPO 1618 and LPO 1512 Chassis, these buses are available in both Air Conditioned and non-air conditioned variants. The Marcopolo-adopted light weight body ensures greater fuel efficiency, better performance and enhanced safety standards. More to all these, Tata Motors will provide after-sales support on bus body as well to ensure peace of mind for the owners.
The line-up includes an Air Conditioned Luxury Coach, which has a capacity of 45 passengers. Tata has worked on the interiors and the bus comes with Push-back seats, individual AC vents and ample amount of luggage space, 180 HP Engine, Hydrodynamic retarder, Air suspension, advanced gearbox with overdrive and tubeless tyres.
Another is the semi-deluxe 41-Seater Non-Ac Coach. This one also sports push-back seats, good-looking interiors, wide gangway, flat floor inside saloon and separate driver partition.
Commenting about this development, Mr. Ravi Pisharody, Executive Director, Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said: “The MCV market is traditionally dominated by chassis sales but Tata Motors is all set to change this trend with our newly designed and company built MCV buses. The two buses on display are an effort to upgrade the market to a much more superior product quality in their respective sub-segments. These buses are specially designed for their intended application with an aim to provide a company built options. As leaders in the commercial vehicle market, we always look forward to bringing new products to market and this move is a step in this direction.”
These two products will be launched for the commercial markets pretty soon!
