With the ‘Coming Soon’ teaser, Maruti has also signalled its official launch which is expected to happen at the Auto Expo in a few days from now.
Celerio will continue with the 1.0L K-series petrol engine, power specs of which are still not known. In the current crop of cars like WagonR and Alto K10, this 3-cylinder motor produces 67bhp of power output and 90Nm of torque. Celerio will also get an 800cc diesel but it will come a lot later.

So, clearly Maruti has worked a lot on the car’s efficiency and it stands more than 4kmpl higher than Estilo and A-Star and over 2kmpl against the Alto K10.
We expect Celerio to start at somewhere around Rs 3.7 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi and span across till 5 odd lakhs. With the Celerio, Maruti is filling the gap created by Maruti A-Star and Estilo.
