We knew of 6 cars that Chevrolet is planning to launch and very soon. Then came the unexpected spy pics of the already fresh looker Beat hatch which made us wonder about the possibilities.
However, if you have been waiting for the car to hit the showrooms any sooner, then it might not happen this year. According to what we have learnt, Chevrolet would launch all the planned models first and then the Beat facelift would be making an entry. It could mean March-April 2013 or even later.
That means the following cars would be hitting us pretty soon:
- Sail UVA Hatch – Both Petrol and Diesel – (Expected September)
- Spark Facelift – Petrol only – (Expected Before Diwali)
- Enjoy MPV : Both Petrol and diesel – (Expected – November)
- Sail Sedan : Both petrol and diesel – (Expected – January)
Once these make it to roads (and possibly settle down), Chevy would work on bringing the Beat facelift in India. It makes immense sense for them as well. Launching the Beat anytime sooner would have an adverse effect on the Sail UVA hatch. Let the new products get launched, settle down in terms of sales and then based on the scenario then launch facelift of Beat.
Also, the new Beat would only get cosmetic changes and the engine bits and mechanicals would remain the same.
