After EcoSport, the next car that looks all set to chart new territories for Ford, it appears, is the sub 4 meter Figo Aspire compact sedan, which will fight against the Dzire, Amaze and others in this fast moving segment.
A few days back, the company, while unveiling their new Sanand plant, officially showcased the car in India for the first time in its production ready form and barely a few days later they were snapped doing a commercial with Bollywood’s Farhan Akhtar in Mumbai.
And in an exclusive update, let us tell you that the company is conducting its dealer training of the car at their Sanand plant, which is a clear indication that the launch is not far.
Though we have not received any official word on it but according to tentative estimates, they probably have plans to ramp up on the dealer training by next month which is when we can get to see initial promotional teasers, followed by a launch sometime in June.

Officially, Ford has confirmed that the Figo Aspire will come with the 1.5 liter TDCi diesel engine and a bettered version of the 1.2 Liter TiVCT petrol engine and will be the first car in the segment to carry side and curtain airbags. They have also been spotted testing an Automatic version of the compact sedan which is expected to be mated to the 1.5 Liter TiVCT engine, just like the EcoSport!
