Along with other bits, we, in India, can not do away with the ‘Kitna Deti Hai!’ mindset. Ford EcoSport boosts some real segment leading features starting from its looks and today we take a quick look at how much is each engine capable of returning in Indian conditions!

If you are unaware, Ford EcoSport will come with three engine options, 4 variants and 10 trims:

1. Ecoboost Turbocharged Petrol:

  • Power: 125PS 
  • Torque: 170Nm
  • Transmission: 5-speed manual

2. Ti-VCT Naturally Aspirated Petrol (Manual)

  • Displacement: 1.5L
  • Power: 112PS 
  • Torque: 140Nm
  • Transmission: 5-speed manual

3. Ti-VCT Naturally Aspirated Petrol (Automatic)

  • Displacement: 1.5L

  • Transmission: 6-speed PowerShift Automatic
  • Fuel Efficiency: 15.6kmpl

4. TDCi Diesel Engine

  • Displacement: 1.5L
  • Power: 91PS

There are 4 trims EcoSport will be offered in. Here they are listed in order of their offerings:

  2. Trend
  3. Titanium
  4. Titanium (O)
  • Ford EcoSport 1.5L TDCi Diesel will be available in:

Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium (O)

  • – EcoSport 1.0L Ecoboost will be available in:

Titanium & Titanium (O) only

  • EcoSport 1.5L Ti-VCT Petrol (Manual Transmission) will be available in:

Ambiente, Trend & Titanium

  • EcoSport 1.5; Ti-VCT Petrol (Automatic Transmission) will be available in:

Titanium only

Ford EcoSport Launch & Price:

Though we have not received any official revelations of EcoSport’s pricing, however Ford has kept reiterating that EcoSport will be priced competitively! According unconfirmed reports one of our source informs us that EcoSport could start at Rs 5.95 Lakh.

Launch of EcoSport is scheduled for this month possibly somewhere around 25th of this month. Keep Tuned!

  1. Wow nice! Ford Ecosport looks good based on the specifications. I want to buy new car so what you suggest? Ford Ecosport or Renault Duster? Both looking good but space issues have been said about. 3 people can sit behind in Ecosport? I am not sure. In diesel I think Duster having better engine. So please suggest me proper car.
