More Powerful DC Avanti 310 Launch in April

Avanti 310 gets 60 more horses along with a lot of oomph and AMT!

So, what do you do when you have severe intents of buying a sportscar. For a Lamborghini, Porsche etc, you will have to rob some banks, break some lockers and/or donate your kidneys. Just to decrease such crimes from happening, DC Design has launched the Avanti for you – the first and only Indian sportscar!

Taking things one level up, DC Design is soon going to launch a limited edition version of the car. Called as the Avanti 310, the car now gets a power boost and a few cosmetic changes. The engine remains the same 2.0 litre Renault sourced mill which now produces 310 bhp (a boost of 60 bhp) and records a 0 to 100 kmph time in claimed 6 seconds flat!

The New Avanti 310 gains stiffer anti roll bars, reduced ride height of 150 mm (20 mm reduction) and can hit an electronically limited top speed of 200 kmph. That’s not all, the more powerful Avanti also boasts of an optional AMT gearbox with paddle shifters.

Also on offer are new black alloy wheels, carbon fibre spoiler, Alcantara leather sports seat, and a redesigned instrumentation display.

DC will offer the new Avanti 310 in three colour schemes:

  • Grey with Green
  • Matte Grey with Orange (pictured above)
  • White with Blue (pictured below)

DC is expected to showcased the new bettered Avanti at the Auto Expo and it will carry a sticker price tag of Rs 44 lakhs. In what we hear, it will only be launched in April 2016 for commercial sales.

  1. I thought the engine in the original Avanti was 2.0 L Ecoboost sourced from Ford. Here it’s mentioned Renault. Is this information correct?

    • Hi Steeve, yes the folks at DC confirmed that it is a Renault engine. They however have not officially revealed why they have shifted from the original 2.0 litre EcoBoost engine by Ford.
