Time just flies by! The Maruti-Suzuki Alto 800 is now a year old baby!! To celebrate the occasion, India’s largest carmaker has launched a new Anniversary Edition of the Alto 800.
The Alto 800 Anniversary Edition is launched in a new color option called Purple Haze (featured below). The manufacturer feels that addition of this color option adds to the festivities. (Jimi Hendrix must have turned in his grave 😀 )
Alto 800 is Maruti’s most important car and the largest selling model in India and hence, Maruti wants to create a lot of noise on its first anniversary to bring it to headlines again. We have received a couple of images from Maruti and it includes the new color. On the following image, it appears if the new black side moldings as well as the blacked-out B-Pillars have been airbrushed.
Other newly-included features of Alto 800 Special Edition are:
- New Body Graphics
- New Dome Decals
- Body Coloured ORVMs
- Interiors come with a new seat fabric
- Convenient rear parcel tray
- Customers can also opt for an audio system.
Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President (Marketing) Maruti Suzuki India, had this to say on the new introduction :
“Alto has been India’s favourite car since its launch. The anniversary edition is our way to celebrate success with our customers in this festive season. The new exciting package of the anniversary edition will bring joy and value to customers in this festive season.”
The Alto 800 has had a meteoric rise in its only year. It not only achieved over 2 Lakh customers in the last year, but also bagged about 10 headline-grabbing awards in the last year. One of them was the Best Value For Money Car of The Year 2013 by Motor Vikatan.
We appeal to the plebeians to rush to their nearest Maruti-Suzuki showrooms!! The Anniversary Edition of the Alto 800 will be available at all the Maruti-Suzuki showrooms spread across the vast expanse of India, at a starting price of 3.12 Lakhs ( Ex-Showroom Delhi ).
