Nissan to Hike Car Prices From 1st November

Nissan has declared that they are going to hike prices of its cars starting November.

The reason cited by the company is to offset rising input costs and an unprecedented increase in logistics and transportation costs which have resulted from the latest increase in fuel prices.

While Nissan has not shared the quantum of price hike but it could be in the region of 1-2 percent. This price hike would be applicable to Micra and Sunny whereas the latest launch Evalia would NOT be affected by this exercise.

Commenting on the price increase, Mr. Nitish Tipnis, Director – Sales & Marketing, Hover Automotive India said, “The prices are being revised to partially offset appreciation in input and transportation costs. While all leading automobile companies raised prices earlier this year, we at Nissan absorbed rising input costs and held back the price hike. Although we have now reached the stage where we have to make an adjustment, I can assure all customers that both Micra and Sunny will continue to represent outstanding value within the market.
