Well, it has been in the air for sometime how Volkswagen intends to leverage their current Polo and Vento to form various variants out of them in the Indian market for the coming few years before bringing new products in the market.
Although unclear, but here is the first ever spyshot of Volkswagen CrossPolo on the Indian soil. Shared by the folks at IndianCarsBikes.in, this car was caught near Volkswagen’s plant at Chakan in Pune.
With a lot of fanfare Volkswagen has launched their first ‘GT’ car in India. Internationally, ‘GT’ signifies raw power and thumping performance and GT badged cars come screaming ‘Sportiness’ all around.
Here it is, Volkswagen taking the lead and launching the most powerful and costliest hatchback in India – Polo GT TSI. The car, which we have been chasing for so long, is in the market finally.
Back in October last year, possibly the first whispers of a Polo based SUV emerged on the worldwide web. Yes, after a mini SUV Taigun based on the compact hatch Up!Volkswagen is planning an SUV based on Polo.
Volkswagen has also switched paths and are now trying their hands at the compact SUV segment. They unveiled the Taigun- a sub 4 meter small SUV at Sao Paulo International Motor Show in Brazil in October 2013.
The hottest hatch is coming to town. We have revealed way back last year through a set of spyshots that Volkswagen is preparing a few variants of Polo hatch.
So all you power junkies, hold your breaths as the hottest hatch is coming to town. Yes, among the recently launched so called hot hatchbacks Volkswagen Polo 1.2TSI is the real deal.
Its raining compact SUVs, literally! Amidst all what is happening in this compact segment, the latest to join appears to be Volkswagen.

Volkswagen is milking their existing products as much as it can to extract a lot out of them. And there is nothing wrong with that considering that both Polo and Vento are modern and look fresh.
