Maruti launches special editions of Celerio, Swift, and Dzire!

While everyone is expecting the new facelifts of the Swift and the Dzire models to be launched anytime now, Maruti Suzuki has just launched special editions of both the Swift hatchback and the Dzire sedan to make space for the upcoming new cars in their showrooms. The company has also launched a limited edition of the Celerio too!

The special editions are dubbed ‘VXi+’ for the Celerio, ‘Silver Plus’ for the Swift, and ‘Regalia’ for the Dzire. Let’s quickly see the additions Maruti has made to the three cars, and help you decide whether the extra stuff is worth bringing your cheque books out of the drawers.

Mii too will SEAT here: VW contemplating bringing in the Spaniard to India

The Volkswagen group already has almost all its car brands – Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Skoda, and Volkswagen – in India save for SEAT.  It seems that this Spanish brand will also be brought in India by VW in the next couple of years and it would be the B-segment cars like the Maruti Wagon R and the Hyundai i10 that the German major would be targeting with its Spanish hatchbacks.

The Fabia was discontinued last year and all Polo variants are also on the premium side of the hatchback market, and VW now wants to grab a bite of the ‘volumes’ section. SEAT at present manufactures four hatchbacks, two sedans, and a seven-seater MPV, and all these vehicles come in quite a few variants and sizes (three-door, five-door, coupe, etc.).

Chevrolet to launch new Sail sedan and Sail U-VA hatchback this week!

Chevrolet’s Sail sedan that still boasts of the best ride quality in its segment has been given a facelift along with its hatchback sibling, the Sail U-VA, and the company would be unveiling both the cars officially in two days. Chevy India’s Facebook page has been posting teaser images for the new cars and the latest today carries a picture of the instrument cluster with “2 Days To Go!” tagline.

Chevrolet Sail and Sail U-VA have always been decent cars to buy in their respective segments, but, much to Chevrolet’s discomfort, better options from competitors have also been always available. Moreover, sad brand perception, helped in no small measure by company’s zilch marketing, poor after sales service, and both the cars’ drab interiors kept buyers away from the Sails.
