Mahindra Launches Rexton RX6 MT at Rs 19.96 Lacs; Features & Details

SsangYong, the Korean SUV specialist, now owned by Mahindra has launched its new variant of Rexton – RX6. We had talked about the RX6 back in April and it has a host of features over the base RX5 variant.

The RX6 is a mid-trim and gets a lot of features from the top RX7. Mechanically, the SUV gets the same 5 cylinder 2696cc diesel mill which produces 162bHP and 340Nm of torque, and is mated to a five speed manual transmission. On the other hand RX7 is available with 184bhp and 402Nm and a 5-Speed Etronics automatic gearbox. The intelligent ‘Torque on Demand’ with low ratio, makes the SUV a fairly decent vehicle on rough roads.

Mahindra Rexton 2.0L

The RX6 sits right between the two existing variants. With the RX6 variant for Rexton, Mahindra intends to be a little more aggressive in this segment which has seen the launch of New Santa Fe and 2014 Ford Endeavour in the recent times.

Mahindra also showcased Rexton with a new 2.0L diesel engine (pic above) at the Auto Expo which is also expected to be launched in India. You can check all its details here.
