New Facelifted Suzuki Grand Vitara Comes to Australia in August

The New Updated Suzuki Grand Vitara has shed its cover in Japan. This updated version of the mid-sized SUV looks quite refreshing and sports new features like:

  • New front grille with twin bold horizontal bars
  • A muscular front bumper with silver protective panel
  • Dark headlamps lenses
  • New alloy wheel designs
  • New Colour Schemes
  • New Seat Materials

The New Vitara will be available in the showrooms of Australia in the month of August and prices and other details would become clear in the coming times. The prices for current Vitara range between $24,990 and $37,990. It is expected that there would be a marginal hike in prices.

The Australian version of the new Vitara will be mostly cosmetic as the engine and transmission of the car will remain the same. The current Australian Vitara is powered by a 2.4-Litre Petrol Engine that develops 163.5 HP @ 6,000 RPM of power and 225 Nm of Torque @ 4,000 RPM, same as the Indian and Japanese version. But there’s more to it, a diesel engine is also available as an option. That is a 1.9-Litre diesel engine which churns out 127.4 HP of power and 300 Nm of Torque. Customers get to choose between a 5-Speed Manual or a 4-Speed Automatic Transmission, again, same as the Indian and Japanese version.

We don’t know what keeps Maruti Suzuki to introduce the Vitara with the existing diesel engine or with a better one producing more power. This will definitely help them push the sale and grow customers interest even more. We are not yet sure about the possible launch of this New Vitara in India. As per our commitment, we’ll report about it as soon as it is clear to us. So, stay tuned for more latest news and updates!
