Scorpio facelift has been in the news for sometime with various spyshots making way onto the web quite frequently. However, in a first, entry level sibling Bolero mules has been snapped by the folks at Carwale.com
Spotted on NH8 near Surat in Gujarat, we have pics of Scorpio facelift and a Bolero which is running camouflage on the bumpers and the body. We also notice the blacked out pillars. Rest of the utility vehicle, upfront looks pretty much the same as the current Bolero. This could be another minor update in the making to refresh the impressive seller.
The last time Mahindra updated the Bolero, it lent it with a new diesel engine (with slightly lesser power), higher mileage, digital dashboard and a few changes here and there. What it may get this time is not known as of now, but it doesn’t appear to be a comprehensive makeover.
However, despite Bolero’s traditional and old credentials, it is the largest selling utility vehicle in the country by a significant margin. And hence, Mahindra has never felt the need to really worry about Bolero and take it to the drawing board seriously. There is also a bleak possibility of Mahindra introducing newer variants of Bolero as they hinted earlier.
Along with these couple of Boleros, we see a comprehensively camouflaged (with front and rear hidden) Scorpio test mule accompanying them. The test mule has a mysterious protruding hump over the grille and it is running on the regular steel wheels. Scorpio facelift will see the introduction of projectors, LED lamps, new grille, 17 inch tyres, and refreshed interiors. It will continue with the 2.2L 120PS diesel motor along with the 75PS lower powered entry level diesel engine and is expected to be launched in June this year.
