In the new age where car manufacturers feel they can sell strictly-generic hatchbacks under the name of crossovers, we have seen some real debacles, the most prominent one being the upcoming Etios Cross.
Nonetheless, one car that stood out as a better alternate and a real interest was the Fiat Avventura Concept that the company showcased at the Auto Expo. In an exclusive scoop, we busted the spyshots of production version barely a few days back. In a latest, we share with you a spy-video of the same Avventura mule, shot by one of our avid reader in Pune.
Upcoming Fiat Avventura Crossover Spy Video:
Unfortunately, this production Avventura is running minus a lot of crossover traits that were showcased. There is no side cladding. Bulging wheel arches are not present. There are no roof-rails either. Does this mean the production version which we will get will be a lot softer? Let us assume that this test mule doesn’t speak the true picture for now!
But the good thing are the broader 16 inch tyres and higher ground clearance. Rear wheel mount at the rear also confirms the presence of a visible spare-wheel at the rear. We would really love to see projectors percolating to the production version.
In terms of engines, Fiat has confirmed that their B-CUV will get the same 1.3L Multijet diesel (most probably in the 90PS VGT form) and 1.4L naturally aspirated petrol from Linea Classic and Punto. Launch is scheduled towards the second half of the year.
