Upcoming Force One LX Snapped; Comes With 4X4 & Limited Slip Differential

So after a brief lull, we share spyshots of the upcoming Force One LX variant which was caught testing in Pune recently. If you are a little confused, let us clear it out for you.

Force revamped their One suv’s Indian lineup and branched them into three different variants- base EX, mid SX and top of the line LX. They infact launched the EX and SX in July this 2014 (more details) however, top of the line LX variant continues testing. Why?

Because it carries extra hardware in the form of 4X4 transmission along with a Limited Slip Differential. This is exclusive to this variant and will provide the SUV with extra off-road capabilities. And hence, it appears that Force has delayed its launch and is still testing the SUV.

The Force One LX also gets broader 245/70 16 inch all-terrain tyres (SX & EX gets 235/70) and also comes equipped with ABS and EBD. It features an Electronic Shift on Fly which allows you to engage the 4 wheel drive with a twist of a switch while you are on the move.

The Force One LX will be powered by the same BS4 compliant Mercedes sourced 2.2L FMTECH diesel engine which produces 141PS of power output and 321Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powers the SX variant however the Force One EX gets only a BS3 compliant 2.6L motor which produces 82PS of power and 230Nm of torque.

The LX variant will come only in the 6+Driver seating configuration and is expected to be priced at a shade over 13 Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. And it is expected to be launched sometime in February 2014 i.e. just next month after the Gurkha goes on sale.
