We Told You! Here is the Facelifted Aria With Automatic Gearbox

On February 7 ie just last month, MotorBash revealed the Aria facelift with smoked headlamps and only a few days later, with a new tail lamp cluster. 

And yesterday, Tata unveiled the new Tata Aria at the ongoing Geneva Auto Show. Here you can see for yourself the new cosmetically enhanced front and rear. Tata calls them smoked bezel headlamps and the integrated side blinkers are now transparent from the earlier orange. Tata has also officially revealed that a new 6-speed Automatic Transmission will also be available soon.

Another change is the new dual colored body which runs along with the bonnet creases to the roof. The new Aria gets the same 2.2L DiCOR diesel motor but with higher level of testosterone. It produces 155PS of power output with a colossal 400Nm of torque.

Apart from that Aria also gets features which include body-on-frame structure, 6 airbags, cruise control, Integrated GPS, Reverse Parking camera, Follow me Home Lights, Nappa Leather upholstery, Harman branded acoustics with 10 speaker and amplifier combination, ABS with EBD etc.

Now, these specs and features are for the export international models and it remains to be seen how many will percolate through to the Indian version. It is tirelessly expected that the cosmetic add-ons will make their way onto the Indian facelifted Aria. And sometime now or a little later, Aria will definitely get the more powerful 155PS motor along with the 6-speed Automatic gearbox for domestic market as well.
